We got tagged by our long-time agency partner to help with this client and push its link assets (blog posts and tools) to be more visible online.

The client is one of the biggest ecommerce platforms in the world. It allows you to build and customize your ecommerce website so that you can grow and manage your business.

Project Approach:

As a marketing tool, they built a stock photography subdomain on their site and created a section wherein users can use free licensed photos for their ecommerce websites. These photos are categorized and can be used by businesses from various niches.

The objective is to drive more traffic to the site (so people can use it) and secure links to pull the rankings and visibility of the page on keyword searches that matters for them.

Our approach started with collecting massive stock photo listings and resources from different categories. Our outreach process is in place, we setup the campaign in our buzzstream.

Execution & Results

Execution:

We identified and listed link prospects that are likely to use the tool - bloggers, graphic designers, ecommerce makers, universities, and school library pages. By identifying our target niche and users, we can easily collect link targets that are high likely to convert as linkers or links.

  • Collect link prospects for the campaign.
  • Validate link prospects before loading them inside Buzzstream.
  • Set up email outreach themes (based on the persona of the target prospect).
  • Push the email outreach by following a strict schedule
  • Monitor linking results

For other opportunities, we identified websites that also linked to them and/or mentioned their website but didn't know that the stock photo page existed on Shopify's domain.

Results:

  • A steady increase in organic traffic is evident three (3) months into the campaign.
  • Massive growth increase in organic traffic in the 1st year of the campaign. From 50k to 400k monthly organic traffic.
  • 700%+ organic traffic increase from year 1 to year 2 for the campaign.
